Gayulaz, Noumea, Melanesian Music, New Caledonia: Here's the Pacific (and Melanesia's and New Caledonia's) most popular group appearing in the 2015 Music Festival in Noumea on June 21 2015, signing the most beautiful Melanesia songs. Vic Stefanu, firstname.lastname@example.org. Nouméa is the capital city of the French special collectivity of New Caledonia. It is situated on a peninsula in the south of New Caledonia's main island, Grande Terre, and is home to the majority of the island's European, Polynesian (Wallisians, Futunians, Tahitians), Indonesian, and Vietnamese populations, as well as many Melanesians, Ni-Vanuatu and Kanaks that work in one of the South Pacific's most industrialised cities.
OK! Ryos is a group from New Caledonia, a group of islands in southern Melanesia, 900 miles from eastern coast of Australia. The group is a part of Kaneka music revival, blends typical New Caledonian Polyphonic singing styles and traditional rhythms of Kanak culture with upbeat pop, world music and reggae flavors. The opening choir in the beginning is inspired by traditional choir music of New Caledonia. This is a song that praises the joy of living in a community that helps and supports each other in an atmosphere full of tolerance, care and understanding.

These musicians are from the island of Maré situated amongst the Loyalty Islands of New Caledonia.
